There are routines, rituals, regulars and routes that defy the idea of change. Like the caramel macchiatos on the way back from the hospital. Or the cheerios I munch on after breakfast. The Indian dal curries and chicken-broth Vietnamese noodles I’m prone to order. I can’t put my finger on the reasons. They’ve just grown into me.
